How to combine stone, wood and marble in the bathroom?
Bathroom projects where materials sculpt the character of the interior.
In defining the look of an environment, the choice of materials can never be casual. Just like colours, surfaces have the ability to arouse feelings and direct the perception of a space. You don’t need to touch them: because of their potential to generate visual effects that can be described as hot or cold, soft or hard, natural or artificial, textures, even if only ‘imitated’, are a determining factor in the mood of a room. All the more so when it comes to the bathroom, where coatings are the protagonists.

BATHROOM, STONE EFFECT
This solution relies on the multifaceted texture of stone (although it is the more practical stoneware) to recreate the suggestion of a monolithic, geometric volume. The concept is suggested by the irregularity of the room and underlined by the cut of the top
What to combine with stone?
To mitigate the cold effect of stone, the project relies on the warmth of wood, which takes shape in the washbasin unit and extends to the floor with the parquet slats.
On the wall: maxi 120×120 cm stone-effect porcelain stoneware slabs, 9/10 mm thick to allow 45° cutting of the edges at the corners. Floor: 180×17 cm pre-finished natural oak planks. Washbasin unit: made-to-measure solution in oak, with 45° shaped top that follows the course of the wall and drawer with groove handle.
WOOD-EFFECT BATHROOM
An evergreen choice that has never failed, wood cladding coats the interior with a welcoming warmth. In the bathroom with bathtub, the wood effect is combined with different materials and embossed workmanship.
What to combine with wood in the bathroom?
In the interest of visual comfort, all coverings are chosen from a colour palette that includes several shades of brown. On the floor: maxi porcelain stoneware slabs with textures imitating wood, with a lived-in effect. On the wall (niche with bathtub/shower): striped 30×70 cm porcelain stoneware tiles with 3D wood strip effect.
On the wall (sanitaryware and washbasin area): large-format matt resin-effect porcelain tiles. Washbasin unit: production solution in wood with striped decoration, double base, and double column.
MARBLE-EFFECT BATHROOM
So here are Marble Effect surfaces, in two finishes, that define the areas of use in great style, but in the name of simplicity. What should be combined with marble aesthetics in the bathroom? A well-thought-out mix of surfaces, satin, glossy and matt, in various shades of grey.
On the wall: maxi slabs in Carrara marble-effect porcelain stoneware. On the wall (with camouflaged flush door): ultra-washable satin enamel. On the floor (including shower tray flush with the floor): maxi slabs of Imperial Grey marble-effect porcelain stoneware.
